Even though some think the penalty corner should be replaced or changed, this unique set piece of our game is one of those elements that make our game of hockey special. The biggest stars for the fans are often drag flickers. But as coaches we all know a penalty corners is really about team work. You have the player who wins the PC, the one who injects the PC, the trapper and finally the one who propels it towards goal. On the other side we have 1 goalie and 4 players defending their goal and several more running back from midfield to do the same. PCD or penalty corner defence has improved drastically in recent years. So let’s look at this part of the game this time…
Fede Tanuscio
Born in Argentina Fede Tanuscio came to Europe to become a pro hockey player and played for Argentina and in several top leagues across Europe. These days he is the technical director for Luxembourg.
Together with his friends Lucas Rey and Lucas Cammareri he co-founded The Hockey Sense. They combine their experiences as international players and coaches in different parts of the world for the joint study and analysis of modern field hockey with the same goal we have here #sharetheknowledge.
